TOP TIP
IF YOU WANT TO GIVE YOUR ARDO CHRISTMAS TREE A NEW FOREVER HOME, AFTER THE FESTIVITIES, PLAN NOW!

Picture
  • Choose your spot in the garden carefully. It should be in at least Partial Sun and Semi Sheltered.
  • Prepare your planting hole now, whilst the ground is still warm. It’s a lot easier than trying to dig in frozen soil!
  • The hole should be at least double the diameter of the growing pot. For an Ardo Christmas Tree, this means that the planting hole should be at least 16 inches (41cm) across.
  • The planting hole should be at least 2 inches (5cm) deeper than the pot. This allows space for extra compost to allow the roots something to grow into.
  • By doing this preparation now, it will give your tree the best chance in the new year.
  • Remember that Christmas trees do not like to be waterlogged but likewise don’t like to dry out completely, so keep an eye on the tree during its’ first year replanted. If the top of the soil is dry, then give it a drink.
  • Don’t forget to feed/top-dress your tree as well.
